As managers,
we’ve had to make the payroll, manage the payables, and
find money for expansion. We’ve encouraged some employees
and disappointed others. We’ve knocked on the doors for
sales and dealt with valued customers who didn’t realise
the value they expected from us. We’ve dealt with difficult
owners and even more difficult Boards. We’ve even met
the press when they thought they had hard questions to ask.

We are happy
to discuss the times passed when perhaps we could have done
it better. We also are not afraid of a little constructive discontent.
|
 |
Bottom line:
We’ve done it as HANDS ON, LINE managers.

Also,
international frontiers,
unique customs and special
objectives present no undue
problem (and in fact probably
offer one or two interesting
opportunities). |
